In April of 2019 we sat down with funny people Grace Smith and Ryan Hughes to talk about Beth Stelling's awesome album Simply The Beth. We spent a great hour talking about Beth, the accessibility of her material and the power a good burp. After the episode, we decided to reach out to Beth and seeing if we could chat with her about the album, her inspirations and her current projects. This past December we were able to reach Beth after her tour of Oregon and have a great conversation about all of those topics and more. Thanks to Grace and Ryan for chatting with us about Beth's album and thanks to Beth for spending some time with us.
In this terrific episode Jason and Matt sit down with performer and teacher Jess Grant and writer and performer Tracy Hamilton to discuss the amazing and awesome album Ask Me About My New God! by Maria Bamford. During this conversation we have the joy of discussing the bright darkness that is Maria Bamford's comedy along with its healing power and inspirational qualities.

Yesterday was an exciting day, after a flurry of activity in the morning (including a great interview with Jackie Kashian which will be airing in a couple of weeks) I got to cheer on a friend in the SiriusXM Top Comic competition and follow that up with an exciting night at The Alternative Show hosted by the ever hilarious Andy Kindler.
The late night meant this morning when I got up I was running on fumes. I had hoped to go to Jackie’s The Dork Forest podcast recording but wasn’t able to make it. I’m just going to have to pick it up from Band Camp as a premium episode when it becomes available, that’s the price of 2 or 3 am nights several days in a row. For people who are starting to slow down like myself, it really takes its toll, but the price was worth it.
